About

Experimentation, spontaneity, adaptability & humour are my main motivators. Resources are recycled where possible be they old whisky bottles, surplus glass from glaziers’ shops,  beach debris for example. I like to integrate glass, metal, wood & other found objects. Nature & the environment have always been strong influences on my work.

The movement of glass as it metamorphoses from solid to molten  to solid state intrigues me & I love to set up obstacle courses for the molten glass to negotiate on its journey in the kiln. The feeling of excitement as the glass finally reveals itself is what entices me to work in this sometimes frustrating medium. It is never boring!

I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with BA(Hons) in Design & Applied Art – Glass & from Edinburgh College with an HND(Public Art) – Artistic Metalwork plus  an EEC funded course in Furniture Construction & Design. I have exhibited my work both nationally & internationally with great success.
